Description
Extended spectral range to 2000nm and beyond
The Exosens Imaging VS20 Series has been designed using a custom CQD technology to extend the spectral range beyond the normal cut-off associated with InGaAs based technologies (i.e. 1700nm) into the eSWIR range, with a peak sensitivity at 1800nm and a cut-off extending to 2100nm.
High-speed imaging with exceptional dynamic range
With a full VGA resolution of 640 × 512 pixels and a frame rate of up to 400 fps, the VS20 Series can capture fast-moving objects and processes. Its High Dynamic Range of over 120 dB preserves details in both bright and dark areas, even in scenes with large variations in light intensity.
The global electronic shutter, built-in thermoelectric cooling and integrated image corrections support consistent image quality. GigE Vision, GenICam compatibility and flexible triggering options make the camera easy to integrate into industrial imaging systems.
One camera, multiple applications
The Exosens Imaging VS20 Series is well suited to indoor artificial lighting applications that require spectral ranges up to 2000nm. The VS20 Series supports a wide range of applications. Its extended spectral range is of particular benefit for material sorting (i.e. plastic identification and sorting), water detection, i.e. for moisture content in paper, wood, textiles, food, pharmaceuticals, and other materials. Other notable applications are mineral and geological imaging, chemical/material identification, in agriculture, for crop, grain and food inspection. Also in the application mix is Laser and photonics applications: A 2.1 µm upper limit encompasses wavelengths used by certain SWIR lasers and optical technologies, allowing cameras to monitor beams, components, and processes operating around the 2 µm region.
Two configurations available
The VS20 Series is available in two variants:
- CAM: A complete camera with housing for a fully integrated imaging solution.
- OEM: PCBs and C-mount designed for integration into customer systems.
