VS20 Broad-spectrum VIS-SWIR VGA Camera

VS17 VIS-SWIR Camera Series

The Exosens Imaging VS17 Series is a Colloidal Quantum-Dot (CQD) based VIS-SWIR, VGA resolution camera that is ideally suited for outdoor imaging applications that require high sensitivity in the Visible, NIR and specifically at 1550nm. Its compact format offers a very high Dynamic Range (120 dB), with very fast operation i.e., 400fps VGA and in excess of 1600fps at 1/4 VGA resolutions. Both GigE and SDI interface options are available.Exosens

Description

Visible and SWIR imaging with one sensor

The Exosens Imaging VS17 Series offers visible and short-wave infrared imaging from 400 to 1700nm within a single CQD based sensor. The broad spectral coverage can reveal details and material properties that are difficult or impossible to see with conventional daylight cameras.

High Dynamic Range and fast imaging

With a VGA resolution of 640 x 512 pixels and a very high Dynamic Range of over 120 dB, the VS17 Series can image very bright as well as dark objects without saturating the sensor. Its global electronic shutter supports the capture of very fast moving objects, while built-in thermoelectric cooling and integrated image corrections help maintain consistent image quality under changing environmental conditions.
The camera also supports optical power measurement and offers high-speed VGA resolution imaging at up to 400 fps with the GigE configuration. SDI configurations provide standard video formats and frame rates for systems requiring direct video output.

Designed for industrial and scientific applications

The VS17 Series combines visible and SWIR imaging to reveal material characteristics beyond surface appearance, enabling applications such as material and food sorting, industrial inspection, 1550nm laser detection, process monitoring, research, and enhanced visibility through smoke, haze and other challenging atmospheric conditions.

Four configurations available

The VS17 Series is available in four variants:

  • CAM: A complete camera with housing, available with GigE or SDI connectivity.
  • OEM: A camera core designed for integration into customer systems, with GigE or SDI connectivity.
