Mission
The Junior Financial Accountant supports the Finance Director in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust financial controls, and ensuring the reliability of accounting and operational data. The role contributes to month-end closing, budgeting, reporting to Group Headquarters, and continuous improvement of financial processes, helping the organization make informed business decisions based on high-quality financial information.
Key responsibilities
1. Operational Accounting and Data Verification
- Daily Accounting Execution: Managing and recording routine accounting entries, processing invoices, handling depreciation/amortization, performing periodic bank reconciliations, and supporting the month-end closing process.
- Financial Quality Control: Thoroughly reviewing daily accounting and verifying local data, providing a cross-referenced "second look" to ensure information is 100% reliable before integration into final reporting.
- Inventory and Operations Control: Auditing data reported by the operations team. Analytically cross-referencing ERP system data with actual inventory to ensure the accuracy of both physical and theoretical stock levels.
2. Reporting and Data Flows
- Data Upload Maintenance: Providing operational support in uploading data for the group's monthly reporting.
- Workflow Optimization: Assisting in troubleshooting and resolving data flow issues, as well as providing technical or operational support to meet new information requests from headquarters.
3. Management Control and Parent Company Compliance
- Budgeting Process Support: Mass-extracting financial data from the system and structuring the templates and dynamic models required to build the annual budget.
- Implementation of Parent Company Controls: Systematically, agilely, and quickly developing and implementing comprehensive reconciliations for all line items required by global headquarters.
- HR Management Support: Assisting with personnel management using time-tracking and expense-management platforms
Your profile
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in accounting, administration, or management control departments, with a strong ability to manage large volumes of financial data.
- Languages (Essential): Fluent English, minimum C1 level. Proven ability to understand global financial control manuals, draft technical reports, and lead fluid meetings with headquarters.
- Advanced Excel: High proficiency (complex formulas, pivot tables, macros highly valued) focused on mass data reconciliation.
- ERP Systems: Expertise in data extraction and management within multinational ERPs.
- Data & Automation: Basic knowledge or experience working with data streams and desktop automation tools (Microsoft ecosystem and similar tools, such as Power BI)
