Field Application Engineer within the sales team of Exosens Advanced Imaging BU.

Exosens is a high-tech company, with more than 85 years of experience in the innovation, development, manufacturing and sale of high-end electro-optical technologies in the field of amplification, detection and imaging.

The Advanced Imaging Business Unit offers its customers digital sensors and cameras covering most frequency bands, from UV to infrared.

Scope of the role:

The applications team—part of the sales organization—is responsible for providing technical support to both the sales team and customers. Their role involves meeting customers, framing their needs, providing the best solution from our product portfolio and assisting customers with integrating our camera cores into their final applications.

 Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering with experience in Technical Support activities of high-end vision products.
  • Experience in imaging sensors or related industries.
  • Good understanding of systems and platforms using vision systems across several market segments
  • Good communication skills and ability to translate customers’ feedback and requirements into a system or component description
  • Knowledge of Infrared and optics would be a plus

 

Objective of the role:

Before sales support

  • Need framing of the customer needs
    • Selecting the most relevant camera in the product portfolio
  • Customer support in integrating our products in their final application
  • Customer training

Loan camera management

  • Ensure with sales and customer configuration is correct
  • Check image quality before shipping

 After sales support

  • Camera troubleshooting 
  • First level RMA support 

 Marketing support

  • Support for shows
    • Presence required
    • Demonstrator development
    • Camera preparation
  • Video shooting to demonstrate use cases

Application notes & user manuals

  • Editing notes on most common customer request

Interpersonal skills / soft skills / behavioral skills

  • Customer listening
  • Autonomy 
  • formalization of customer feedback

 

Travelling will be required, customer visits for product demonstrations and troubleshooting, and marketing support at different industrial and defense shows.
