Purpose of the Function
The Supply Chain Technician plays a crucial role in coordinating and executing key logistics, receiving, inventory, and administrative activities. The role is responsible for accurate receiving of production components, proper stock handling, system registration in Navision, first-level quality checks, picking of BOM materials, and supporting certification and facility-related logistics tasks.
This position supports Production, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Facility Management by ensuring material availability, correct traceability, and compliance with procedures and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Receiving & Inventory Management
Receive all production components, indirect materials, and consumables.
Perform accurate registration in Navision, including serial numbers, batch information, and storage locations.
Ensure that physical locations match system entries; correct and update deviations.
Manage, prioritise, and fast-track hot parts to avoid production interruptions.
Conduct daily sanity checks and periodic cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
Support annual stock counts and audit readiness.
2. Logistics & Delivery Coordination
Manage incoming deliveries and distribute materials to goal location or responsible owners or departments.
Oversee internal material movements and maintain accurate records.
Follow up with transport and delivery companies; resolve delays or discrepancies.
Prepare and coordinate shipments to customers, subcontractors, or external partners.
4. Quality & Compliance Support
Perform first-level quality inspection on received items and report non-conformities.
Requirements
Education & Experience
Technical education or equivalent professional experience in logistics, supply chain, or production support.
Experience with ERP systems (preferably Navision) and inventory management processes.
Understanding of warehouse, receiving, and material traceability practices.
Experience in a manufacturing, electronics, or industrial environment is a plus.
Language skills: EN / NL (spoken and written)
Skills & Competencies
Strong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple parallel requests.High attention to detail and accuracy (serial numbers, stock entries, registration).
Structured, reliable, and consistent in following procedures.
Good communication and collaboration across teams (SC, Production, Quality).
Ability to work under pressure in a time-critical environment.
Proactive mindset with initiative to prevent material shortages or compliance issues.
ERP proficiency (Navision), MS Office, MES familiarity.
Ownership & Accountability
Takes full responsibility for accurate inventory and registration activities.
Follows issues through to resolution and escalates when necessary.
Ensures production continuity through timely, precise, and proactive logistics execution.
